Today marks the mid-way point of the school year! And only six more weeks of winter according to a certain groundhog, named Wiarton Willie!
The innovative models of learning that are emerging are impressive, thanks in large part to the dedicated and caring educators, who are a continuing their heroic efforts in stickhandling the pandemic to sustain learning. I wish the Ontario teachers in the southern region a safe return next week that was just announced yesterday.
This week I had the good fortune of travelling virtually to the Northwest Territories to connect on a C21 Canada CEO Academy Leadership Series podcast with Governor General Award Winning, Dr. Curtis Brown, Superintendent, SSDEC, who shared their innovative Indigenizing education initiative that garnered him the Polar Medal Award on behalf of the community. Last week I travelled south (virtually) to Florida and FETC to host our 20th CanAm Celebration of Excellence meetup,. It was so great to connect with teachers, edleaders and industry colleagues to share and learn from one another in a social setting. The CanAm community we've nurtured over the past 20 years is vast and servces as the inspiration to launch the CanAM EdTech Alliance next week at the EdFocus Summit!
